It depends on the job, the parts and how long it takes, so we don’t quote a fixed price without knowing the details. Tell us what you need, send photos if you can, and we’ll give you a clear price before any work starts. For small repairs we can often give you an idea over the phone once we understand the problem.
Yes. We install both electric and mixer showers. Electric showers heat only the water you use and work well with low water pressure. Mixer showers take hot and cold water from your existing supply, so they suit homes with plenty of hot water and good pressure. We’ll look at your system and recommend the right shower for your home.
If your hot water is limited or your water pressure is low, an electric shower is usually the better choice because it heats cold mains water on demand. If you have a combi boiler or an unvented cylinder with good pressure, a mixer shower often gives a stronger flow. We’re happy to check your system and explain the options before you buy anything.
Turn off the water at the stopcock straight away, which is usually under the kitchen sink. Switch off the boiler and any electrics near the water, open the taps to drain the system and catch what you can in buckets and towels. Then call us and we’ll arrange a plumber to find and repair the burst as soon as we can.
Yes. As well as standard thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs), we can fit smart TRVs that you control from your phone or smart device. They let you set a different temperature in each room and heat only the rooms you’re using, which can save energy and money. We’ll make sure they work with your existing heating controls.
A humming, grinding or whirring pump can point to trapped air, a pump set to the wrong speed or a pump that’s wearing out. Bleeding your radiators sometimes helps, and our guide on how to bleed a radiator shows you how. If the noise continues or the heating is patchy, we can test the pump and replace it if needed.
